PUBLIC MEETINGS SCHEDULED TO DISCUSS NEW AQUATIC MONITORING PROGRAM
Five public meetings will be held around the state to discuss a new cooperative program between the U S. Geological Survey (USGS), the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (WDEQ), and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA). The table below lists the locations and times of all five meetings.
Aquatic ecological data are being collected in Wyoming using several different protocols. Although the data are collected for different projects with different objectives, much of the data are similar in nature. This program will provide a unique opportunity to integrate aquatic ecological data on a statewide basis. The integration of the data will provide the State of Wyoming with quantitative information about how these data sets compare, which in turn will facilitate future interpretation of the data. The public meetings will provide more information about the scope of the study, as well as specifics on the data collection locations and procedures.
